Boy oh boy has it been an eventful week around here! I’ve been planning a baby shower for my best friend, whose doctors gave her a due date of May 11th. But Baby Keegan decided that he is coming early! As I type this, she has been in labor for almost 30 hours, and I am ever so anxiously awaiting the news that he has arrived!
Meanwhile, I thought I would start sharing my baby shower preparations. The shower will be rubber duck themed, with the colors being blue, orange, and yellow. Keeping that in mind, I set out to make some personalized baby shower invitations.
I couldn’t find a pre-made design that I really liked, so I dug up some royalty-free rubber duck clipart and plugged it into a photo card from Shutterfly. And the results are PERFECT! In the end it cost me $40 for 25 invitations (including the shipping) – I could definitely have made them myself for less, but the time I saved by using Shutterfly was totally worth it. Plus the cards come beautifully printed on heavy stock with really nice envelopes included. They’re totally worth every penny! (And if you keep your eyes open, they often have coupon codes for discounts on cards, so you could actually pay a whole lot less if you order at the right time!)
