I’m a sucker for sauces. So when the folks at Top Mates said they wanted to send me some of their Aussie-style finishing sauces, I was happy to oblige! I got three flavors: caramelized garlic, chipotle & onion, and savory cherry. I’m also giving some Top Mates away to one lucky reader – be sure to enter the giveaway at the end of the post!
I’m also a sucker for cheese and crackers as snacks and hors d’oeuvres, especially when they get all faaaaaancy. Based on that idea, the first thing to pop into my head when I thought about the savory cherry flavor was goat cheese. If you hate goat cheese, you can always try something similar to this idea with another soft cheese, but I am definitely NOT a goat cheese hater. Quite the opposite, actually! Goat cheese is my JAM! (And, incidentally, it’s good with jam.)
Making these is super simple. Take your favorite crackers (I used some stone ground wheat crackers), top each with a schmear of goat cheese, and top with a dollop of Top Mates Savory Cherry. So easy, and SO good!
Top Mates comes in seven flavors: mint apple, savory cherry, smoked tomato, savory pineapple, chipotle & onion, caramelized garlic, and onion & shiraz.
I want to try the smoked tomato
The caramelized garlic sounds tasty!
I would like to try the caramelized garlic. Garlic is a staple in my house but I have never tried caramelized garlic.
this sounds amazing….
